How much does it cost to ship artwork?
It can be daunting to figure out how much artwork shipping should cost. This guide is a handy reference and pricing guide to help you prepare for your shipping project.
There are a few factors that determine cost:
Value of the art. If your artwork is worth more than a few thousand dollars, it may require crating or even specialized art transportation. If it’s a more standard piece then it’s likely that it can ship in a corrugated (cardboard) box meant for artwork.

Once the value, dimensions, and destination are known we can figure out the cost of packing (materials and labor), shipping, and insurance or declared value coverage.

Extra-Large Art (36x6x48 inches)
An extra-large art box can fit a painting up to 32x44. Some examples of art that would fit into an extra-large art:

Super Extra-Large Art (48x6x72 inches)
A super extra-large art box can fit a painting up to 44x68. Some examples of art that would fit into a super extra-large art:

The super-XL box is “telescopic” — it has 2 pieces that can slide up and down so it can grow from 38” to 72” as needed. If the artwork is more than 48” tall, then it will need to ship via a freight carrier since the final packed dimensions will be larger than 49x7x53 (and so more than 165” in length plus girth, the maximum for UPS and FedEx)
If your artwork is too large to fit in a Super XL Art, then it can ship in a custom crate.
